Nye Saunders Ltd are inspecting architects for more than 80 churches in the Dioceses of Guildford and London.  We carry out five yearly Quinquennial Inspections of the fabric of the church buildings and grounds, and prepare a written report identifying areas which will require maintenance, repair or improvement.  We produce drawings and specifications for the works arising from the inspection, and where appropriate seek competitive tenders for the work and inspect the works as they progress on site.  We also assist Parochial Church Councils in preparing and submitting applications to the Diocesan Advisory Committee and applications to the Chancellor of the Diocese for a Faculty (the Church of England’s permission to carry out the work).

 

Our extensive knowledge of historic buildings allows us to provide a similar inspection service for substantial listed houses and other listed buildings.  Including preparing schedules of planned maintenance and coordinating necessary repairs with projects of extension and refurbishment.
