Nye Saunders welcomed our newest member of staff recently when Joe Allan joined the team for his practical training year. He has fitted in seamlessly and we hope he has a fantastic time during his year with us.
Joe has recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a bachelor’s degree in architecture during which he developed his passion for historic buildings and conservation architecture. Notably, he received the Service to the School award for his work on the Geoffrey Broadbent Library Collection and Maggie’s Centre Portfolio Project.
Joe worked on several projects whilst at University, most recently developing a masterplan strategy to revitalise Gosport through the adaptive reuse of the historic Palmerston Forts into thriving community hubs.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Joe lending his skills to local amateur theatre groups, creating ink-based artworks, or discovering new and interesting places to visit.
